1. What you are buying

Access to BossRoster's API and portal: company team data and, where a plan includes it, named contacts and verified work email addresses. You pay in credits. Plans on launch: Starter ($19 per month, 300 credits), Growth ($49 per month, 1,200 credits), and a Trial of 50 free credits.

2. Credits and charges

• A verified email costs 1 credit. An email we found but could not confirm (risky or catch-all) is returned free and marked risky. A lookup that finds nothing costs 0. A named person with no email costs $0.10.
• A repeat request by the same account within the freshness window is free. A request for something another account already fetched costs full price and is marked from_cache: true on the receipt.
• Credits are granted monthly with the plan. Credits do not roll over.
• Each answer comes with a receipt in credits. We publish our real cost per verified email.

3. Your account

Keep your API key secret. You are responsible for what is done with it. Tell us at once if it is exposed.

4. What the data is

Data is provided as found and verified at the time stated. We do not promise any address is current, deliverable or complete, beyond the status we return with it (verified, risky).

5. How you may use contact data

You must:

• use contact data only for business-to-business professional approaches that are relevant to the recipient's role;
• comply with data protection and electronic-marketing law that applies to you (including UK GDPR/GDPR and PECR);
• in your first message to a person, tell them who you are, where you got their details (BossRoster), and link to bossroster.com/privacy and bossroster.com/erase. This is how the Art. 14 information reaches them;
• stop contacting anyone who objects or asks you to stop, immediately, and tell us if they ask you to remove their data;
• delete or stop using a person's data when we tell you it has been suppressed.

You must not:

• resell, sublicense or republish the data, or build a competing database from it;
• use it for consumer marketing, harassment, or any unlawful purpose;
• use it for decisions with legal or similarly significant effect on a person, such as credit or employment screening;
• evade rate limits, share keys, or scrape the service.

People in the United States are not served at this time, and you must not try to obtain data about them.

6. Personal data roles

For named-contact data, BossRoster is the controller (see the privacy notice). Once we give it to you, you are a separate controller for your own use of it.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uptime. We may change or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that affect what you have paid for. Vendors we rely on can change; we may switch vendors without notice.

8. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, is abusive or risks harm to other people. You may cancel anytime; the plan ends at the end of the paid month. Credits already used are not refunded. If you cancel, we do not refund the month already begun, but we will refund unused credits from a plan paid in the last 14 days if you ask.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss. The data is provided as found (section 4), and we are not liable for what you do with it.
